What do you like most about your position at Hansen Health Solutions?

Let us find and treat the root cause of your illness/pain together and work to resolve the issue, not just treat symptoms with yet more medications.

What is your personal philosophy?

No matter what the task at hand, give everything you do your best effort.

Where did you go to school?

I received both my BSN (2008) and MSN (2016) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Nursing.

What do you like most about San Antonio?

It is home. What more can you say?

Where is your favorite place to be?

At Padre Island National Seashore with my family.

What is your favorite thing to do?

Hunting and fishing are my hobbies, but they often feel more like addictions.

What advice would you give to a smart, driven person about to start working on their health?

Do your research first, then find what works best for you, there is no such thing as “cookie-cutter” health or fitness. What advice should they ignore? Anything that starts with, “This is the only thing guaranteed to…” Remember, no such thing as cookie cutter health or fitness.

What are bad recommendations you hear in your profession or area of expertise?

One of the worst during my clinical rotations was to not spend too much time with each patient, prescribe a medication and move on. Another is “If your knees (or any other joint/area of the body) are hurting, welcome to maturity or old age.” I believe we should age gracefully, not painfully.

When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, or have lost your focus temporarily, what do you do?

Love getting on the lawn tractor, cutting and contemplating.
